Situated at the south-west Region of Cameroon, the University of Buea played host<\/span> on Friday <\/span>A<\/span>pril 11, 2024 <\/span>to <\/span>a seminar on business law. Th<\/span>is event<\/span>, organised by the Department of \u00a0Business Law of the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the said University, was enriched by <\/span>five presentations. First to take the floor during the proceedings was<\/span> Dr.<\/span> Alexis NDZUENKEU, head of OHADA delegation. He addressed participants in English on the following topic: <\/span>\u2018\u2019OHADA and its Institutions: a <\/span>G<\/span>uarantee of <\/span>E<\/span>conomic <\/span>G<\/span>rowth in Africa\u2018\u2019<\/span>. <\/span>\u2019\u2019 \u00a0<\/span>Recalling the context of economic crisis which led to the creation \u00a0of OHADA in 1993, Dr. Alexis NDZUENKEU further laid emphasis on<\/span> the institutions of OHADA,\u00a0the eleven Uniform Acts in force and their effective application<\/span> in its 17 member countries and their significant <\/span>impact<\/span> on<\/span> economic development. \u00a0Economic impact studies have clearly shown<\/span> that OHADA has postioned \u00a0itself over time as a key stakeholder \u00a0for continuous improvement of business climate within member countries<\/span> which form<\/span> a vast market of more than 320 milion consumers,<\/span> concluded the speaker .<\/span><\/p>\n To enhance \u00a0the effectiveness of multilingualism in the OHADA area, Dr. \u00a0Alexis NDZUENKEU handed over,<\/span> on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, an important <\/span>consignment<\/span> of Uniform Acts accompanied by pamphlets \u00a0on OHADA, its institutions and<\/span> law, all translated into English. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Situated at the south-west Region of Cameroon, the University of Buea played host on Friday April 11, 2024 to a seminar on business law.
