{"id":44489,"date":"2025-11-10T23:49:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T22:49:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ohada.org\/?p=44489"},"modified":"2025-11-11T18:32:04","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T17:32:04","slug":"training-sessions-in-kananga-and-mbuji-mayi-drc-theme-theory-and-practice-of-ohada-procedures-enforcement-measures-and-collective-proceedings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ohada.org\/en\/training-sessions-in-kananga-and-mbuji-mayi-drc-theme-theory-and-practice-of-ohada-procedures-enforcement-measures-and-collective-proceedings\/","title":{"rendered":"TRAINING SESSIONS IN KANANGA AND MBUJI-MAYI (DRC)  THEME: \u201cTHEORY AND PRACTICE OF OHADA PROCEDURES:\u00a0 ENFORCEMENT MEASURES AND COLLECTIVE PROCEEDINGS\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Regional Advanced School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), in partnership with the OHADA National Commission (CNO) of the Democratic Republic of Congo and with the technical and financial support of the World Bank through the TRANSFORME Project Coordination Unit (PCU), is organising two training sessions on the theme<strong>\u201d Theory and Practice of OHADA Procedures: Enforcement Measures and Collective Proceedings\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These sessions will be held as follows:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>18\u201321 November 2025 in Kananga;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>25\u201328 November 2025 in Mbuji-Mayi. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These training sessions are designed to strengthen the capacities of judicial and legal practitioners in the Democratic Republic of Congo in order to promote the coherent, effective and context-appropriate application of the rules governing enforcement and collective proceedings. The ultimate objective is to enhance legal certainty for businesses and contribute to a more attractive and secure investment climate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Target Audience: <\/strong><em>This programme is primarily intended for: Magistrates responsible for adjudicating commercial disputes arising from the application of OHADA law; Court registrars involved in assisting judges and managing procedural filings in courts and tribunals; Bailiffs tasked with enforcing judicial decisions. It is also open to: Lawyers, notaries, and judicial officers, Trustees, accountants, and executives of financial institutions involved in the implementation of OHADA procedures. In addition, the training concerns: Officials from the Ministries of Justice, Trade and Finance, Law lecturers and students, Representatives of chambers of commerce, bar associations, and justice support organisations. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Methodology: <\/strong>The training will be facilitated by two seasoned practitioners.\u00a0 It will include theoretical modules, practical experience sharing, interactive discussions, and group exercises featuring real-life case studies. They include:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong><em>Mr Alain ZERBO<\/em><\/strong><em>, Magistrate, PhD in Private Law; Former President of the Commercial Court of Ouagadougou; currently President of the Commercial Chamber of the Court of Appeal of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso); and Trainer at ERSUMA; and <\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><em> Landry PONGO WONYA<\/em><\/strong><em>, Attorney-at-Law admitted to the Kinshasa\/Gomb\u00e9 Bar (DRC), and Visiting Trainer at ERSUMA. <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align:
