The preparatory work of the Committee of Experts of the Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), ahead of the 60th Session of the Council of Ministers, was officially launched on 2 February 2026 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in N\u2019Djamena, Republic of Chad.<\/b><\/p>\n

The opening ceremony featured a welcome address by Mr Mahamat Saleh BEN BIANG<\/b>, President of the Chad National OHADA Commission and Chair of the OHADA Committee of Experts, followed by a keynote address delivered by the OHADA Permanent Secretary, Professor Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE<\/b>. The session was formally opened by the President of the Council of Ministers, Dr Youssouf TOM<\/b>, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals and Minister in charge of Human Rights of the Republic of Chad.<\/p>\n

During its deliberations, the Committee of Experts will, inter alia, examine the draft budget of the OHADA Institutions as well as a number of specific normative matters.<\/p>\n

The recommendations arising from these deliberations are intended to inform and guide the discussions of the OHADA Council of Ministers, which will hold its 60th session on Thursday, 5 February 2026.<\/p>\n
