In <\/span>his<\/span> opening<\/span> remarks<\/span>, Professor Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE<\/strong>, Permanent Secretary of OHADA, set the context for the proceedings.<\/span><\/p>\n His Excellency Dr Youssouf TOM<\/strong>, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals and Minister for Human Rights of Chad, and outgoing Chair of the Council of Ministers, presented an overview of his country\u2019s tenure at the helm of the <\/span>Organisation<\/span>, highlighting key achievements and outlining priority areas for OHADA\u2019s continued advancement.<\/span><\/p>\n His Excellency Pac\u00f4me <\/strong><\/span>Missiame<\/span><\/strong> Amenyo ADJOUROUVI<\/strong>, Keeper of the Seals, Minister of Justice and Human Rights of Togo, and incoming Chair of the Council of Ministers, paid tribute to his predecessor and reaffirmed his commitment, under the leadership of the President of the Council of the Togolese Republic and in close cooperation with the States Parties and the Institutions of the <\/span>Organisation<\/span>, to further the ongoing <\/span>modernisation<\/span> of the legal and institutional framework governing business activities.<\/span><\/p>\n The handover was <\/span>formalised<\/span> through the transfer of the symbols of office\u2014namely the flag, the gavel and the official seal of OHADA\u2014as well as the signing of the relevant minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n The assumption of office by the new Chair of the Council of Ministers entails that His Excellency Faure <\/strong><\/span>Essozimna<\/span><\/strong> GNASSINGBE<\/strong>, President of the Council of the Togolese Republic, assumes the office of Chair of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of OHADA.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
