CONTINUING TRAINING ON: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cCORPORATE GOVERNANCE UNDER OHADA LAW\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n KINSHASA (DRC) \u2013 HYBRID FORMAT (IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL)<\/span> <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n ERSUMA, the Business Law School of the Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), in partnership with the International Conference of Bars (CIB) and the National Bar Association of the Democratic Republic of Congo (NBA-DRC), is organising, at the Hilton Hotel in Kinshasa and via videoconference, on 15 and 16 April 2026<\/strong>, a continuing training session on the theme: \u201cCorporate Governance under OHADA Law<\/strong>\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Concept Note<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Corporate governance within the OHADA area is based on a well-defined legal architecture and on continuous interaction among a wide range of institutional, economic and financial stakeholders. This continuing training session is designed to provide a comprehensive analysis of corporate management, control and administrative mechanisms, with particular emphasis on Public Limited Companies and Professional Civil Companies.<\/span><\/p>\n The programme follows a structured and progressive approach: it begins with a thorough understanding of the legal and statutory framework governing corporate bodies, expands to include stakeholder integration (both public and private), proceeds with the core principles of financial governance, and culminates in the management of risks associated with directors\u2019 liability. \nThe training will be delivered both in person and via videoconference by expert practitioners in OHADA law, corporate governance, finance and accounting. It will consist of targeted theoretical presentations, sharing of professional experience, interactive discussions and group work sessions, during which practical case studies\u2014primarily drawn from corporate practice within and beyond the OHADA area\u2014will be examined. Capacity-building will be ensured through case study resolution relating to the functioning of boards of directors and general meetings, as well as practical exercises in financial statement analysis for non-financial professionals and in assessing directors\u2019 liability.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
