For the second time during the year 2016, Brazzaville, the capital city of the Republic of Congo hosts the meeting of the Council of Ministers of OHADA.

The opening ceremony of the meeting was chaired by HE Mr. Clément MOUAMBA, Prime Minister of the Republic of Congo, in the presence of HE Mr. Pierre MABIALA, Chairperson of the Council of Ministers, HE Mr. Calixte NGANONGO, Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio of Congo, and Professor Dorothé C. SOSSA, Permanent Secretary of OHADA.

For two days, the Council of Ministers of Justice and Finance of OHADA Member States will deliberate on various issues relating to the life of the Organization: consideration and adoption of the 2017 budget, review of normative activities and assessment of the implementation of OHADA law in Member States, among others.

The 42nd session of the Council of Ministers marks the epilogue of two weeks of intense activities carried out by OHADA in Brazzaville. As usual, it was preceded by the meeting of the Expert Committee which itself started immediately after the Plenary Meeting of OHADA National Commissions to consider the draft Uniform Act on accounting law and financial reporting.
