On Monday, 18 September 2017, the Institute for Judicial Training of Bamako hosted a double ceremony relating to the handing over of equipment and launching of a training session within the framework of the deployment of the software solution for the integrated management of local registers and national files of the Trade and Security Registers (RCCM).

After the welcome address by Mr Fousseini TOGOLA, Technical Advisor to the Minister of Justice of Mali, on behalf of the OHADA National Commission, Prof. Dorothé C. SOSSA, Permanent Secretary of OHADA, briefly recalled the genesis of the project on computerized RCCM and presented the software solution, which he solemnly handed over to His Excellency Mr. Mamadou KONATE, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals of the Republic of Mali. On this occasion, the Permanent Secretary officially handed over a batch of computer tools for the equipment of four sites.

In his keynote speech, HE Mamadou KONATE recalled the expected benefits of the effective computerization of RCCM and urged the judiciary to appropriate the software for the full operationalization of the solution in Mali.

The official handing over of the software solution and computer equipment, the first such operation, was immediately followed by a training session for administrators and users. For four days, they will familiarize themselves with the various functionalities of the system.

The handing over of computer equipment, the deployment of the computerized RCCM-OHADA and the training will continue in the coming days in Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau. These will mark further progress in ensuring transparency and business growth within OHADA member States.

The Permanent Secretary of OHADA thanks the authorities of Mali for the arrangements made to guarantee the successful deployment of the software solution. He also reiterates his gratitude to the World Bank Group for funding the development of the software and for procuring the equipment. / -
