Workshop to present the results of studies on implementation guidelines of professional norms on auditing and other intervention areas of expert accountants, and the establishment of a quality assurance system.

The Permanent Secretariat of OHADA is organizing, from 27 June to 1st July 2016 in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Hotel Laïco, and with the financial support of the World Bank Group, an important workshop to give a feedback and validate the studies relating to the improvement of the quality of corporate financial information. This activity is within the framework of the project for improvement of investment Climate in member countries of OHADA (PACI). More specifically, the workshop will enable to discuss the results of studies relating to:

  • The implementation guidelines of professional norms on audit, and other intervention areas of accountants, as well as the drafting of a code of ethics;
  • The establishment of a quality assurance system.

For five days, OHADA’s professionals dealing with figures will exchange on necessary tools to promote high quality professional practices and compliance with a strict code of conduct, so as to enhance the quality of services. The outcome of the workshop will thus enable to lay the foundation for the adoption of tools that guarantee the reliability of financial information within the OHADA space, in view of the continuous improvement of an environment conducive for the development of trade and business. / -
