Capacity Building Seminar for English-speaking practitioners on the New OHADA Enforcement Law : Phase II in Douala

The Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) is proceeding with its activities to popularize and promote the mastery of the Uniform Act on simplified recovery procedures and enforcement measures. This activity falls within the framework of the Support Programme for Regional Integration and Investment in Central Africa (PAIRIAC) financed by the European Union. After the first phase which took place in Bafoussam from 14 to 16 October 2024, some sixty English-speaking legal practitioners are meeting in Douala for an awareness-raising seminar on the reforms resulting from the revision of the Uniform Act of 17 October 2023 to lay down simplified recovery procedures and enforcement measures. Made up of Judicial and Legal Officers, lawyers, bailiffs and court registrars practicing in the South-West and North-West regions of Cameroon, participants will discuss the innovations pertaining to the new Uniform Act with experts from 23 to 25 October 2024 at Hotel La Falaise in Akwa, Douala.
