The OHADA Organization is open to any state, member or not of the African Union (AU) that expresses the wish to join.
Nowadays, there are several African States showing a growing interest in the legal unification process and the economic rule of law brought about by the creation of OHADA.
The Treaty on the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa, signed in Port – Louis (Mauritius Ireland) on October 17, 1993, as revised in Quebec City (Canada) on October 17, 2008 is, upon its entry into force, open for accession by any Member State of OAU not signatory of the Treaty.
