ERSUMA ACTIVITIES IN CONGO IN OCTOBER 2018

The Higher Regional School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) organises several activities in Pointe Noire in the Democratic Republic of Congo from 22 to 26 October 2018 at L’Orchidée Hotel, Avenue Emeraude.

1- Training session on the theme:” Mastering the new legal framework on arbitration and mediation in the OHADA Space.”

The purpose of this session is to build the capacity of the auditors on the new framework of alternative dispute resolution in the OHADA space, to specify the outlines of the Uniform Act on mediation and to understand the innovations of this Act.
Trainers:

Mrs. Bintou BOLI DJIBO, Business Lawyer. Arbitrator. Mediator. Permanent Secretary of the Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation Centre of Ouagadougou (CAMCO);
Maître Narcisse AKA, Secretary General of the Arbitration Center of the OHADA Common Court of Justice and Arbitration.
Target audience: Magistrates, arbitrators, mediators, managers of arbitration and mediation centers, accountants, notaries, lawyers, bailiffs, legal representatives, corporate managers, academics, economic operators.
Dates: from 22 to 25 October 2018 (04 days)
Cost: 350.000 FCFA

A 10% discount is granted for groups of at least three (03) registrations.

2- ERSUMA Matinées

The ERSUMA Matinées will be conducted by Prof. Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, Law Lecturer, and General Director of ERSUMA.

2.1. Training Matinées:

Theme N°1: “Immunity from execution in OHADA space”
Target audience: lawyers, bailiffs, corporate advisers, corporate directors, managers and economic operators.
Date and time: Tuesday 23 October 2018 from 03pm to 06pm
Cost : 50.000 FCFA

Theme N°2 : “legal arrangements on corporate development in OHADA space”
Target audience: lawyers, bailiffs, corporate advisers, corporate directors, managers and economic operators.
Date and time: Wednesday 24 October 2018 from 03pm to 06pm
Cost : 50.000 FCFA

2.2. Conference Matinée on the theme : “OHADA and corporate performance ”
Target audience: For all
Date and time: Friday 26 October 2018 from 9 am
Venue: Chamber of Commerce of Pointe Noire
Cost: Free admission

Registration requirements : 

Fill and send the registration form to ERSUMA;
Pay the training fees amounting to:
350.000 FCFA for the alternative dispute resolution session
50.000 FCFA for the Training Matinées

Students and postgraduates willing to attend the trainings will have a 40% discount on the cost of training after justifying their status (a scanned copy of student registration certificate in support of the application). Applications shall be sent to the Director General of ERSUMA through the e-mail address ersuma@ohada.org. The reduction shall not apply to the cost of Training Matinées.

The training fees shall cover the equipment and teaching materials, coffee breaks and lunch during the training period. Travel, accommodation and other restoration expenses shall be borne by the participant.
