Establishment of the CNPC Executive Secretariat

By a Decision dated 16 May 2024, Prof. Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, Permanent Secretary of OHADA, set up the Executive Secretariat of the Commission on Standardization of the Accounting Profession (CNPC).

Comprising an Executive Secretary, an Assistant Legal Officer and a Secretary, this unit will provide a day-to-day support to the CNPC in fulfilling its mandate, in accordance with the provisions of its Rules of Procedure adopted by the General Assembly on 8 August 2022 and approved by the Council of Ministers at its session held on 22 December 2022.

The operationalization of the Executive Secretariat is expected to give a fresh impetus to the activities of the CNPC, which will be better aligned with OHADA’s institutional system and mainstreamed into new missions in the areas of corporate social responsibility, green finance and the fight against corruption, money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
