The official launch ceremony for the 4th edition of the International Forum of Legal and Accounting Professionals (FIPROD) was held on 20 May 2026 at the Sarakawa Hotel in Lomé, Togo.
Organised by ERSUMA, the OHADA School of Law, under the High Patronage of the President of the Council of the Togolese Republic, this edition is being held under the theme : “Business Contracting Techniques in Africa.”
The opening ceremony featured addresses delivered respectively by Dr Karel Osiris Coffi DOGUE, Director General of ERSUMA ; Professor Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, Permanent Secretary of OHADA ; and Mr Pacôme ADJOUROUVI, Keeper of the Seals, Minister of Justice and Human Rights of Togo and current Chair of the OHADA Council of Ministers.
The event was also attended by Mr Tchangbedji GADO, Minister Delegate in charge of Higher Education, and Mr Adelino Francisco SANCA, representing the President of the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (CCJA). The keynote lecture was delivered by Professor Koffi Mawunyo AGBENOTO.
This 4th edition of FIPROD is bringing together, over a three-day period and in a hybrid format, more than 150 legal and accounting professionals. Participants include judges, lawyers, notaries, judicial officers, in-house counsel, chartered accountants, statutory auditors, academics, arbitrators, mediators, economic operators, entrepreneurs and ERSUMA trainees.
OHADA expresses its gratitude to the Togolese authorities and to all partners supporting the event, particularly the French Development Agency (AFD), the International Conference of Bars, the African Union of Judicial Officers, SIRE-OHADA, UNIDROIT, UNIDA, Nyquist-Shannon and ASKY, for their valuable support towards the successful organisation of the 4th edition of FIPROD.
