OHADA Financial Governance: Experts and Finance Ministers of Member States Convene in Lomé


Since Monday, 4 May 2026, the Sarakawa Hotel in Lomé (Togo) has been hosting a meeting of the Committee of Experts, in preparation for the special session of the Finance Ministers of OHADA Member States.

The opening ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Ms Akou Mawussé Afefa ADETOU AFFIDEGNIGBAN, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Economy and Finance of Togo, representing the Minister, in the presence of the Permanent Secretary of OHADA, Professor Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, and Mr Jérôme KOMI ADJESSOM, President of the OHADA National Commission of Togo and Chair of the Committee of Experts.

This high-level meeting forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the Organisation’s financing and resource management framework, in response to increasing demands for institutional efficiency and performance.

Discussions will focus on OHADA’s financial situation, the revision of the contribution-sharing formula among Member States, as well as the review of the findings of the study on the Organisation’s financing. At the conclusion of the three-day deliberations, the experts, supported by representatives of Member States responsible for budgetary and public accounting matters, will formulate recommendations to guide the deliberations of the Finance Ministers, whose meeting is scheduled to open on 8 May 2026.
