On the 13rd and 14th of March 2023, the Sultani Hotel in Kinshasa will host the workshop on the popularization of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) organized as part of project for the support of the popularization and dissemination of OHADA law in Central Africa.
The opening ceremony was held in the presence of Mrs. Pélagie EBEKA MUJANGI representing the Minister of State, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals of the Democratic Republic of Congo, current President of the OHADA Council of Ministers. This ceremony was highlighted by the welcome speech of Professor Roger MASAMBA, President of the OHADA National Commission of the DRC, the speech of Mr. Jérémie BELLEUDY, representing the Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of the European Union in the DRC, and the opening speech of Professor Emmanuel Sibidi DARANKOUM, Permanent Secretary of OHADA
The workshop brought together more than 130 professionals, specifiers, stakeholders involved in the implementation and support of the ADRs: corporate lawyers, attorneys, notaries, bailiffs, court clerks and magistrates. As the third of its kind, after those organized in Yaoundé (Cameroon) and Libreville (Gabon), this workshop is part of the Regional Integration and Investment Support Program in Central Africa (PAIRIAC) supported by the European Union.
The Permanent Secretary of OHADA thanks the Congolese authorities for their support to the organization as well as the European Union which ensures the funding of these meetings.
