OHADA took part in the 2nd symposium on civil status in French-speaking Africa held in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) from 10 to 12 December 2024.
This event, organised on the theme “The universality of civil status in the face of the challenge of international mobility”, aimed to contribute to the strengthening of African civil status systems through the creation of a platform for sharing experiences, knowledge, and best practices in the field of civil status in French-speaking Africa. It also aimed to share and build on best practices in civil status management, particularly in the areas of international exchange of civil status information, consular civil status, and access to civil status for specific populations.
OHADA’s presentation by Dr Alexis NDZUENKEU, Director of Legal Affairs, Documentation and Communication, highlighted the impact of civil status documents and events on business life. In addition, ideas were shared on how to significantly manage civil status in a way that helps improve business climate.
