The OHADA Permanent Secretariat organised, from 23 to 26 February 2026, via videoconference, a training seminar on fundraising and resource mobilisation techniques for the benefit of the OHADA National Commissions (ONCs).
Over the four-day session, participants enhanced their knowledge and strengthened their skills in identifying funding opportunities, structuring bankable projects, and mobilising resources from technical and financial partners.
The discussions also provided an opportunity for experience-sharing among members of the various ONCs, thereby fostering the exchange of best practices and the development of harmonised approaches to the design and management of strategic projects at the national level.
This new training session follows on from the legislative drafting workshop organised by OHADA in December 2024 for the benefit of the ONCs. It forms part of the ongoing capacity-building efforts aimed at strengthening the ONCs, which are key national stakeholders in the development, implementation and ownership of uniform law, with a view to continuously improving the business climate within the OHADA area.
In the coming weeks, a complementary workshop on international negotiation techniques will be organised in order to equip members of the ONCs with the skills required to negotiate, conclude and secure strategic partnerships.
