The OHADA Council of Ministers held its 60th Session in N’Djamena on 5 February 2026.
This Session, which was essentially budgetary in nature, provided an opportunity to deliberate on the various agenda items. In particular, the Council of Ministers adopted the budget of the OHADA Institutions for the 2026 financial year.
As Chad’s term at the helm of OHADA draws to a close, the Permanent Secretary reiterates the Organisation’s profound gratitude to the authorities and people of Chad for their steadfast commitment, which has enabled significant progress to be made in institutional governance.
In the coming days, the Republic of Chad will hand over the chairmanship to the Togolese Republic, which will assume the presidency of OHADA for a one-year term, in accordance with the Treaty.
