Capacity Building Seminar for English-speaking Practitioners on the New OHADA Enforcement Law: the Permanent Secretariat is Organising a Specific Seminar in English

The Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) is currently continuing its activities to popularise and ensure adherence to uniform business law within the framework of the Support Programme for Regional Integration and Investment in Central Africa (PAIRIAC). About fifty participants made up of judges and legal officers, lawyers, bailiffs and court registrars practising in the North-West and South-West regions of Cameroon have been meeting since 14 October 2024 at Zingana Hotel in Bafoussam to discuss the new Uniform Act on simplified recovery procedures and enforcement measures.

For three days, participants will have the opportunity to exchange views with experts on the innovations contained in the Uniform Act, with a view to ensuring that it is properly applied in their respective businesses. This capacity building seminar, organised specifically for English-speaking legal practitioners, will be followed by a similar workshop a week later.
