After Garoua in Cameroon, Pointe-Noire in Congo and Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Libreville, the capital city of Gabon, has been playing host since this morning to an awareness-raising seminar on the innovations to the Uniform Acts. Organized by the OHADA Permanent Secretariat in collaboration with its National Commission in Gabon and with the support of the European Union’s Support Programme for Regional Integration and Investment in Central Africa (PAIRIAC), this seminar brings together legal professionals based in Libreville, Port-Gentil, Franceville, and Oyem. Participants can also attend online.
For the next three days, participants will exchange views with facilitators on various innovative provisions of the Uniform Acts, with a special focus on the new Uniform Act Organizing Simplified Recovery Procedures and Enforcement Measures, adopted in Kinshasa on 17 October 2023. The objective sought is to substantially improve professional practices for a better financing of the economy.
