The OHADA Permanent Secretary Leads a Diplomatic Mission to Madagascar

Professor Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, Permanent Secretary of OHADA, led a diplomatic mission to Antananarivo (Madagascar) from 10 to 12 December 2025. During the mission, he was granted an audience at the Prime Minister’s Office, at the Mahazoarivo State Palace, by Mr. Andriniaina RASOARAHONA, Minister of Industrialisation and Private Sector Development, acting on behalf of H.E. Herintsalama RAJAONARIVELO, Prime Minister, who was unable to attend, and in the presence of the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Fenosoa Andrianaivonirina RATSIMANETRIMANANA. The Permanent Secretary also held a working session with Ms Fanirisoa ERNAIVO, Keeper of the Seals and Minister of Justice, in the presence of her senior officials.

In addition to meetings with political authorities, the Permanent Secretary presented OHADA and its key assets during a press conference held at the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel. He also took part in an interactive exchange session with an audience mainly composed of lawyers, economists and magistrates from various regions of the country.

These activities, carried out with the support of all organisations representing the Malagasy private sector within the Malagasy Consortium for OHADA, reflect the increasingly close ties between the Republic of Madagascar and OHADA, the African organisation for legal integration specialising in business law and dedicated to the continuous improvement of the business climate.
