Pursuant to the instructions issued by the OHADA Council of Ministers to seek negotiated solutions to disputes involving certain former staff members, the Permanent Secretary engaged in discussions with Mr. Félix ONANA ETOUNDI, who had previously been dismissed from his position as Director General of ERSUMA. These discussions resulted in the conclusion of a settlement agreement.
In disregard of the confidentiality clause and established professional practice in such matters, the person concerned published a communiqué falsely presenting the agreement as the outcome of an admission of fault by OHADA.
Consequently, OHADA has terminated the settlement agreement so that the judicial proceedings already initiated may follow their normal course.
