On Thursday, 8 January 2026, the hearing room of the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (CCJA) hosted the public sitting for the formal swearing-in of five Judges elected in September 2025 by the OHADA Council of Ministers, namely:
- Mr Charles MBA OWONO, University Professor and Lawyer (Gabon);
- Mr Yaovi SRONVIE, Magistrate (Togo);
- Mr Adamou MOUSSA, Magistrate (Benin);
- Mr Youssouf FOFANA, Magistrate (Mali);
- Mr François-Xavier MBONO, Magistrate (Cameroon).
The ceremony was attended by Mr Sansan KAMBILE, Keeper of the Seals, Minister of Justice and Human Rights of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, representing the President of the OHADA Council of Ministers, as well as Professor Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, Permanent Secretary of OHADA.
Also present were the President of the Court of Cassation and the President of the Council of State of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire. This solemn sitting officially marked the assumption of office of the newly appointed Judges.
OHADA extends its congratulations to the new Judges and conveys its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the five outgoing Judges.
