The Director General of the Higher Regional School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), Dr Karel Osiris C. DOGUE (LL.D.) undertook a working visit in Libreville from 8 to 18 April 2024. This visit took place within the framework of several capacity-building activities in favour of legal and judicial professionals of the Republic of Gabon.

During his stay in Libreville, the Director General paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals of the Republic of Gabon, Mr Paul-Marie GONDJOUT on Monday 15 April 2024. The two personalities took this opportunity to discuss about the ERSUMA’s catalogue for 2024 activities. They highlighted in their exchange the forthcoming organisation of the 3rd African Arbitration and Mediation Days (JAAM) to be held on 25 and 26 July 2024 in Libreville, Gabon.

On this note, the Director General informed the Minister of the facilities being offered to his Department to ensure greater participation of Gabonese Judicial and Legal Officers in this event.  The Keeper of the Seals expressed his gratitude to ERSUMA and congratulated it on all these initiatives being undertaken and pledged his full support for their successful implementation. He also expressed his expectations as regards ERSUMA’s activities.

The Director General also met with the President and Vice-President of Gabon’s OHADA National Commission, the Secretary General of the Gabon Business Federation (FEG), the President of the board of directors of the International Institute of Mediation, Arbitration and Conciliation (IIMAC), the Secretary General of the Chamber of Notaries Public of Gabon, the Director General of BGFI Business School (BSS), the Management of JURIDAF Gabon and many other stakeholders involved in the joint organisation of the JAAM.
